About two months ago, I launched my very first walking tour in Shanghai—Old Western Countryside. In that video, we strolled through the same leafy lanes that the legendary writer J. G. Ballard and the visionary architect László Hudec must have wandered back in the roaring 1920s. It was like stepping into a living postcard of old Shanghai.

But today? We're shaking things up and heading to a whole different corner of the city—the iconic Former French Concession. And guess what? I'm not flying solo this time! I've got my dear friend and fellow tour host, Janne, joining me for the ride. Together, we're going to dive into the charming neighborhoods around Xintiandi, Fuxing Park, and Sinan Mansions—places where history whispers from every balcony and every brick tells a story.
